Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are all embedded into American popular culture. And while most people are spending time planning their meals and preparing their shopping strategies, or checking out the parades and football games on TV, there are others that are focusing on another very important part of the holiday season: giving back.
The holiday season is the time of year where charitable giving comes into focus. Launched in 2012, Giving Tuesday, observed the day after Cyber Monday, has become a movement for celebrating and supporting philanthropy, giving back in both service and financial donations. The spirit of Giving Tuesday, and the spirit of philanthropy and giving back, is part of our culture at HNM Systems.
A history of giving and community support
Over the past few years, HNM Systems has created the Give Back campaign. For every job order received by a client, HNM Systems donates to a charity on the client’s behalf.
“To know we are helping over 80 families is an amazing feeling. We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to help and impact our community,” said Kristin Schaer, Managing Director at HNM Systems. This year, the team at HNM Systems put together gift baskets for the San Diego Food Bank, which provides nutritious food to people in need, advocates for the hungry and educates the public about hunger-related issues. These donations provided over 80 meals to families in need.
